Troop 888 Pasta Bake
Ingredients
16 oz Ground Italian pork sausage
1 Small yellow onion, diced
1 Small green pepper, diced
60 oz Spaghetti sauce (2 jars)
9 oz GF pasta or oven-ready pasta (1 box)
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 T Italian seasoning
32 oz Ricotta cheese
16 oz Shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
Heat the Dutch oven over a fire or using hot charcoals. Brown the meat in the pan and spoon out extra grease. Add the diced onion and peppers and sauté until softened. Stir in the pasta sauce and noodles, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Top with ricotta cheese and then finish with the shredded mozzarella.
Cover and bake for 45 minutes at approximately 350 degrees (that's around 15 coals on top and 9 on the bottom). Don't forget to wrap some garlic bread in heavy duty foil and toast for a side.
